Team Players is what we call the people who work with us: actors, gamers, fans, linguists and event professionals. There are more than 2,000 of them now.

What we care about.

  • We know everyone

    Every Team Player has applied, had a video call and met us in person. We talk to everyone before they work with us.

  • We pick for the job

    We send fans to fan events, multilingual hosts to international guests and specialists to the shop floor.

  • We look after people

    Everyone gets a proper briefing, breaks planned into the day and a lead on the floor, so the team can do its best work.

  • People come back

    Most of the team at New Balance Run House were asked back for year two, and the same EA production partner booked us nine times in nine months.

How we got here.

Here is the short version.

  1. 2018

    It starts at Comic Con

    We sent our first survey teams to MCM London Comic Con. Fifteen shows later, we are still there.

  2. 2020

    We Are Play is founded

    Play Staffing Studios Ltd is registered in London, trading as We Are Play.

  3. 2022

    Call of Duty comes to London

    We looked after creators at the Warzone Mobile Global Summit, from the airport to HMS Belfast.

  4. 2023

    Our biggest job yet

    We put 200+ event staff into the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival at ExCeL London, and worked a season of EA esports shows.

  5. 2024

    The Champions League Final

    We worked with OPPO at Tower Bridge and Wembley, spent a summer on smart glasses demos and ran 2,750+ shifts on a UK and Ireland VR launch.

  6. 2025

    Campaign Experience Awards finalist

    Finalist for Staffing Agency of the Year, the year we also ran the TikTok Youth Council Summit.

  7. 2026

    Dinner at Waterloo

    We helped put a family dinner live inside a giant HelloFresh box on the Waterloo Station concourse.
