01The brief

For Halloween, Uber Eats built a giant takeaway bag outside King’s Cross Station for its Trick or Treats campaign. Its agency asked us for actors to deliver the scares from inside, and a team to run everything around it.

02What we did

Two actors worked inside the bag, and our team ran everything outside.

Here is how the night worked.

  1. Inside · Actor one

    The pumpkin scarecrow

In a black morph suit, tattered robes and a pumpkin mask, this actor hid behind a two-way mirror until the light came on, then jumped out.

  2. Inside · Actor two

    The silhouette

In a black morph suit behind a fabric wall, this actor pushed towards guests with low zombie growls, as if trying to get in.

  3. Before 5pm · Outside

    Building the queue

Brand ambassadors sent passers-by to the countdown, then ran the queue, the waivers and the safety briefing at the door.

  4. The exit · Trick or treat

    Prizes and fright cam

Guests left with a treat bag of vouchers and sweets or a trick bag of garlic and zombie raisins, plus a QR code for their night-vision clip.

  5. All evening · On the radio

    The event manager

Our event manager ran the team on in-ear radios, with someone always talking to passers-by.

03The result

The experience ran live from 5pm to 9pm, with our actors inside and our team running the queue, safety checks and prize bags outside.
