CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILTY AND SUSTAINABILITY POLICY

PLAY Staffing Studios Ltd. are committed to social, economic and sustainable development (meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs) as a guiding principle within our work.

 

Concern for the environment is an integral and fundamental part of this commitment. Our aim is to reduce the impact on the environment from our operations as a supplier of event services and staff to live events and to help our clients and partners to do the same.

  • Promote responsibility for the environment within the organisation and communicate and implement this policy at all levels within the workforce;

  • Reduce the use of energy, water and other resources;

  • Minimise waste by reduction, re-use and recycling methods;

  • Comply with all relevant environmental legislation/regulation;

  • Ensure that our policies and services are developed in a way that is complimentary to this policy;

  • Identify and provide appropriate training, advice and information for staff and encourage them to develop new ideas and initiatives;

  • Provide appropriate resources to meet the commitments of this policy; and

  • Promote and encourage involvement in local environmental initiatives/schemes.

POLICY


Our Sustainability Policy is based upon the following principles: 

​

  • To comply with, and exceed where practicable, all applicable legislation, regulations and codes of practice.

  • To integrate sustainability considerations into all our business decisions.

  • To ensure that all staff are fully aware of our Sustainability Policy and are committed to implementing and improving it.

  • To minimise the impact on sustainability of all office and transportation activities.

  • To make clients and suppliers aware of our Sustainability Policy, and encourage them to adopt sound sustainable management practices.

  • To review, annually report, and to continually strive to improve our sustainability performance.

 

PRACTICAL STEPS


In order to put these principles into practice we will:

TRAVEL AND MEETINGS

​

  • Walk, cycle and/or use public transport to attend meetings, site visits etc, apart from in exceptional circumstances where the alternatives are impractical and/or cost prohibitive. 

  • Include the full costs of more sustainable forms of transport in our financial proposals, rather than the least cost option which may involve travelling by car or air.

  • Avoid physically travelling to meetings etc where alternatives are available and practical, such as video conferencing and efficient timing of meetings to avoid multiple trips. These options are also often more time efficient, while not sacrificing the benefits of regular contact with clients and partners.

  • Reduce the need for our staff to travel by supporting alternative working arrangements, including home working etc, and promote the use of public transport by locating our offices in accessible locations.

  • Use an emissions recording scheme for business travel to monitor our impact.

PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT AND CONSUMPTION OF RESOURCES

​

  • Minimise our use of paper and other office consumables, for example by double-siding all paper used, and identifying opportunities to reduce waste. 

  • As far as possible arrange for the reuse or recycling of office waste, including paper, computer supplies and redundant equipment. 

  • Reduce the energy consumption of office equipment by purchasing energy efficient equipment and good housekeeping.

  • Seek to purchase electricity from a supplier committed to renewable energy. Seek to maximise the proportion from renewable energy sources, whilst also supporting investment in new renewable energy schemes. 

  • Ensure that timber furniture, and any other timber products, are recycled or from well-managed, sustainable sources and are Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified.

  • Purchase fair-trade and/or organic beverages.

WORKING PRACTICES AND ADVICE TO CLIENTS

​

  • Undertake voluntary work with the local community and / or environmental organisations and make donations to seek to offset carbon emissions from our activities.

  • Ensure that any associates that we employ take account of sustainability issues in their advice to clients. 

  • Include a copy of our Sustainability Policy in all our proposals to clients.

COMMITMENT TO QUALITY

PLAY Staffing Studios Ltd. aims to provide high quality event services and staffing solutions to all its clients/customers within the agreed timeframe and within the agreed budget. 

​

APPROACH TO QUALITY

​

PLAY Staffing Studios Ltd. believes in the concept of agency/client collaboration in pursuing this policy and in continually striving for improvements in delivery and service quality. 

​

  • Ensuring that the Client organisations, needs and expectations are determined and fulfilled with the aim of maximising customer and any other interested party’s experience & satisfaction.

​

  • Communicate throughout the Company the importance of meeting / exceeding Retail Customer / Client expectations, whilst adhering to all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements

​​

  • Ensure the availability of resources to meet Retail Customer / Client requirements

​

TRAINING AND SUPPORT

​

We shall ensure that all PLAY staff, both office based and in-field understand and fully implement our companies policies and objectives and are able to perform their duties effectively through on-going training and development. 

​

  • As part of their induction, all staff are given our 'PLAY Book" which fully briefs them on the Quality Policy, its aims and objectives. 

  • PLAY staff are given full training to ensure they can carry out their functions of their role to their highest ability

  • Regular monthly feedback sessions and on-going trainings are given to each member of staff. 

​

MONITORING AND EVALUATION

​

PLAY Staffing Studios Ltd. will constantly review and improve our services to ensure all assignments are completed to the highest quality and delivery. 

​

PLAY Staffing Studios will achieve this by: 

​

  • Obtaining client feedback following the completion of each assignment

  • Conduct an annual client survey relating to quality

  • Maintain and Review the Company Quality Assurance Policy and its objectives

  • Management Reviews are set through Quality Assurance Meetings with a pre-determined Agenda. The agenda includes a review the Company Quality Assurance Objectives and Internal Audit Reports conducted during the intervening period of the Previous Quality Assurance meeting

Copies are made available to all members of staff along with copies of the minutes of Management Reviews, or extracts thereof, in accordance with their role and responsibilities as a means of communicating the effectiveness of the Quality Management System
